Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-09-12

This policy describes what happens to information when you use directflightclaim.com. It is short because the site collects very little.

Who is responsible

The controller of any personal data processed through this site is the independent operator of directflightclaim.com, reachable at [email protected].

What stays in your browser

Everything you type into the calculator and the letter — your name, booking reference (PNR), email address, phone number, flight details and ticket price — is processed in your browser and is never transmitted to this site or to anyone else. There is no account to create, no form that submits, and no server-side store of passenger data. Close the tab and it is gone.

The one request that leaves your browser

If you use the live flight status button, your browser sends a request to this site's own endpoint containing exactly two things: the flight number and the date you entered. That request is forwarded to an aviation data provider (AeroDataBox, via RapidAPI) to look up the route and the delay. It carries no name, no booking reference and no contact details. The answer is cached at Cloudflare's edge, keyed by flight number and date, so that repeated lookups of the same flight do not generate new requests.

Using that button is optional. If you fill the route in by hand, nothing about your flight leaves your browser at all.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies. It stores two values in your browser's local storage, on your device only, so the page looks the same next time:

Neither identifies you, and neither is transmitted. Clearing your browser's site data removes both.

Hosting, and what the host sees

The site is served by Cloudflare. In delivering and protecting any website, Cloudflare processes technical request data including your IP address, and may record aggregate, cookieless visit counts. This is ordinary infrastructure logging rather than anything this site asks for, and it does not identify you to us. Cloudflare's own privacy documentation governs that processing.

Fonts

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Your browser's request for a font file reveals your IP address to Google, as it would on any site that uses the service. No other third party receives anything from this site.

Advertising

No advertising is served on this site today. No ad network script runs, and no advertising cookie is set. If advertising is ever introduced — Google AdSense is the likely candidate — this page will be updated before it goes live, and will name the network, describe the cookies it sets, and link to the consent mechanism. Until this paragraph says otherwise, there are no ads and no ad tracking.

Your rights

Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or Israel's Protection of Privacy Law applies, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over personal data held about you. In practice this site holds none: there is nothing to export and nothing to delete, because the data never arrives. If you believe otherwise, write to [email protected] and it will be dealt with. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

The site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from them. It cannot, since it collects nothing from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that widens what is collected — advertising, analytics that identify visitors, anything sent to a new third party — will be described here before it takes effect, not after.
